May's first dawn
There aren't, in the normal course of events, many reasons to be up and about at 0544 BST. However when one wakes up, takes a peek out of the window and sees a crystal clear sky then it is time to throw some clothes on and grab the camera.
Here's the result - the first dawn of May - the sun rising over the Scottish coast some 30 miles to the east with the Chaine Memorial in the foreground and the first ferry of the morning on its way across the channel.
