Holmes Again & Asteroid #1
Comet Holmes still isn't finished! This shot taken on 10th January 2008 shows Holmes, Algol and M34....

This is the largest Asteroid in the Solar System - Ceres. It lies in an orbit between Mars and Jupiter and appears as a very dim star in the constellation of Cetus the Whale.

Great write up !
I worked on the tracking / reporting of Comet Holmes with my team at Solar System Dynamics Group. Ceres is thought as the one to activate it . It had the same co-ordinates as the comet that night.
